Early Intervention Training Center for Infants and Toddlers

The Early Intervention Training Center for Infants and Toddlers with Visual Impairments (EITC) is a project with a mission of assisting colleges and universities in preparing personnel to serve infants with visual impairments and their families. The project is run from the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Center at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Specifically, the project’s administrators hope to develop multi-media training modules to assist in the training of early interventionists, child development specialists, speech/language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and physicians. The first training module under development focuses on Family Centered Services.
